Daily Devotional

I’m an 85 Year-Young Vietnam Vet and I want to give you the most important piece of information you will ever hear:

God Loves You!

God Hates Sin!

You Cannot get into Heaven when you die if you have sinned, even 1 time!

BUT: 2,026 Years Ago God made a way for you to ERASE ALL of your sins:

God sent His Only Son, Jesus Christ, to this earth as a little Baby,

Born of the Virgin Mary in Bethlehem,

He Lived a Perfectly Sinless 33 year life on this earth,

Died an Atoning Death upon a Cross as PAYMENT for ALL of the sins you have ever committed or ever will commit,

IF you will simply:

Believe upon Him,

Accept Him as your Lord and Savior,

Repent of your sins and

Follow Him.

Doing those things make you:

Born Again,

Enabling the Holy Spirit to enter your Soul,

Reserve your place in Heaven AND

Write your Name in the Lamb’s Book of Life!

PLEASE do these things right now, I beg you.

⁴Praise Him, skies above. Praise Him, vapors high above the clouds.

⁵Let everything He has made give praise to Him. For He issued His command, and they came into being;

^{6 H}e established them forever and forever. His orders will never be revoked.

Chapter 10 in Proverbs for today: (SEPTEMBER 10 (MT) (ESV)

10 The proverbs of Solomon.

A wise son makes a glad father,
    but a foolish son is a sorrow to his mother.
²Treasures gained by wickedness do not profit,
    but righteousness delivers from death.
³The Lord does not let the righteous go hungry,
    but he thwarts the craving of the wicked.
⁴A slack hand causes poverty,
    but the hand of the diligent makes rich.
⁵He who gathers in summer is a prudent son,
    but he who sleeps in harvest is a son who brings shame.
⁶Blessings are on the head of the righteous,
    but the mouth of the wicked conceals violence.^[a]
⁷The memory of the righteous is a blessing,
    but the name of the wicked will rot.
⁸The wise of heart will receive commandments,
    but a babbling fool will come to ruin.
⁹Whoever walks in integrity walks securely,
    but he who makes his ways crooked will be found out.
¹⁰Whoever winks the eye causes trouble,
    and a babbling fool will come to ruin.
¹¹The mouth of the righteous is a fountain of life,
    but the mouth of the wicked conceals violence.
¹²Hatred stirs up strife,
    but love covers all offenses.
¹³On the lips of him who has understanding, wisdom is found,
    but a rod is for the back of him who lacks sense.
¹⁴The wise lay up knowledge,
    but the mouth of a fool brings ruin near.
¹⁵A rich man’s wealth is his strong city;
    the poverty of the poor is their ruin.
¹⁶The wage of the righteous leads to life,
    the gain of the wicked to sin.

    but he who rejects reproof leads others astray.
¹⁸The one who conceals hatred has lying lips,
    and whoever utters slander is a fool.
¹⁹When words are many, transgression is not lacking,

²⁰The tongue of the righteous is choice silver;
    the heart of the wicked is of little worth.
²¹The lips of the righteous feed many,
    but fools die for lack of sense.
²²The blessing of the Lord makes rich,

²³Doing wrong is like a joke to a fool,
    but wisdom is pleasure to a man of understanding.
²⁴What the wicked dreads will come upon him,
    but the desire of the righteous will be granted.
²⁵When the tempest passes, the wicked is no more,
    but the righteous is established forever.
²⁶Like vinegar to the teeth and smoke to the eyes,
    so is the sluggard to those who send him.
²⁷The fear of the Lord prolongs life,
    but the years of the wicked will be short.
²⁸The hope of the righteous brings joy,
    but the expectation of the wicked will perish.
²⁹The way of the Lord is a stronghold to the blameless,
    but destruction to evildoers.
³⁰The righteous will never be removed,
    but the wicked will not dwell in the land.
³¹The mouth of the righteous brings forth wisdom,
    but the perverse tongue will be cut off.
³²The lips of the righteous know what is acceptable,
    but the mouth of the wicked, what is perverse.

CHAPTER 40 JEREMIAH for today: (SEPTEMBER 10 (LN) (ESV)

40 The word that came to Jeremiah from the Lord after Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard had let him go from Ramah, when he took him bound in chains along with all the captives of Jerusalem and Judah who were being exiled to Babylon. ²The captain of the guard took Jeremiah and said to him, “The Lord your God pronounced this disaster against this place. ³The Lord has brought it about, and has done as he said. Because you sinned against the Lord and did not obey his voice, this thing has come upon you. ⁴Now, behold, I release you today from the chains on your hands. If it seems good to you to come with me to Babylon, come, and I will look after you well, but if it seems wrong to you to come with me to Babylon, do not come. See, the whole land is before you; go wherever you think it good and right to go. ⁵If you remain,^[a] then return to Gedaliah the son of Ahikam, son of Shaphan, whom the king of Babylon appointed governor of the cities of Judah, and dwell with him among the people. Or go wherever you think it right to go.” So the captain of the guard gave him an allowance of food and a present, and let him go. ⁶Then Jeremiah went to Gedaliah the son of Ahikam, at Mizpah, and lived with him among the people who were left in the land.

⁷When all the captains of the forces in the open country and their men heard that the king of Babylon had appointed Gedaliah the son of Ahikam governor in the land and had committed to him men, women, and children, those of the poorest of the land who had not been taken into exile to Babylon, ⁸they went to Gedaliah at Mizpah—Ishmael the son of Nethaniah, Johanan the son of Kareah, Seraiah the son of Tanhumeth, the sons of Ephai the Netophathite, Jezaniah the son of the Maacathite, they and their men. ⁹Gedaliah the son of Ahikam, son of Shaphan, swore to them and their men, saying, “Do not be afraid to serve the Chaldeans. Dwell in the land and serve the king of Babylon, and it shall be well with you. ¹⁰As for me, I will dwell at Mizpah, to represent you before the Chaldeans who will come to us. But as for you, gather wine and summer fruits and oil, and store them in your vessels, and dwell in your cities that you have taken.” ¹¹Likewise, when all the Judeans who were in Moab and among the Ammonites and in Edom and in other lands heard that the king of Babylon had left a remnant in Judah and had appointed Gedaliah the son of Ahikam, son of Shaphan, as governor over them, ¹²then all the Judeans returned from all the places to which they had been driven and came to the land of Judah, to Gedaliah at Mizpah. And they gathered wine and summer fruits in great abundance.

¹³Now Johanan the son of Kareah and all the leaders of the forces in the open country came to Gedaliah at Mizpah ¹⁴and said to him, “Do you know that Baalis the king of the Ammonites has sent Ishmael the son of Nethaniah to take your life?” But Gedaliah the son of Ahikam would not believe them. ¹⁵Then Johanan the son of Kareah spoke secretly to Gedaliah at Mizpah, “Please let me go and strike down Ishmael the son of Nethaniah, and no one will know it. Why should he take your life, so that all the Judeans who are gathered about you would be scattered, and the remnant of Judah would perish?” ¹⁶But Gedaliah the son of Ahikam said to Johanan the son of Kareah, “You shall not do this thing, for you are speaking falsely of Ishmael.”

Revelation 13

13 And I saw a beast rising out of the sea, with ten horns and seven heads, with ten diadems on its horns and blasphemous names on its heads. ²And the beast that I saw was like a leopard; its feet were like a bear’s, and its mouth was like a lion’s mouth. And to it the dragon gave his power and his throne and great authority. ³One of its heads seemed to have a mortal wound, but its mortal wound was healed, and the whole earth marveled as they followed the beast. ⁴And they worshiped the dragon, for he had given his authority to the beast, and they worshiped the beast, saying, “Who is like the beast, and who can fight against it?”

⁵And the beast was given a mouth uttering haughty and blasphemous words, and it was allowed to exercise authority for forty-two months. ⁶It opened its mouth to utter blasphemies against God, blaspheming his name and his dwelling,^[a] that is, those who dwell in heaven. ⁷Also it was allowed to make war on the saints and to conquer them.^[b] And authority was given it over every tribe and people and language and nation, ⁸and all who dwell on earth will worship it, everyone whose name has not been written from the foundation of the world in the book of life of the Lamb who was slain. ⁹If anyone has an ear, let him hear:

¹⁰If anyone is to be taken captive,
to captivity he goes;
if anyone is to be slain with the sword,
with the sword must he be slain.

Here is a call for the endurance and faith of the saints.

The Second Beast

¹¹Then I saw another beast rising out of the earth. It had two horns like a lamb and it spoke like a dragon. ¹²It exercises all the authority of the first beast in its presence,^[c] and makes the earth and its inhabitants worship the first beast, whose mortal wound was healed. ¹³It performs great signs, even making fire come down from heaven to earth in front of people, ¹⁴and by the signs that it is allowed to work in the presence of^[d] the beast it deceives those who dwell on earth, telling them to make an image for the beast that was wounded by the sword and yet lived. ¹⁵And it was allowed to give breath to the image of the beast, so that the image of the beast might even speak and might cause those who would not worship the image of the beast to be slain. ¹⁶Also it causes all, both small and great, both rich and poor, both free and slave,^[e] to be marked on the right hand or the forehead, ¹⁷so that no one can buy or sell unless he has the mark, that is, the name of the beast or the number of its name. ¹⁸This calls for wisdom: let the one who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man, and his number is 666.^[f]

>Walk in the Newness of Life: Jesus died so that we might live. We walk in the Newness of Life being Born Again by His Blood.
