The 3 MOST IMPORTANT LETTERS IN THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE ARE: N-O-W!

Here are 5 powerful reasons why “N-O-W” are the three most important letters in the English language:

1. It’s the only moment you can actually control. Yesterday is gone and tomorrow is a promise that’s never guaranteed. NOW is where your power lives — the single point in time where decisions are made, actions are taken, and real change begins. Waiting for “later” is the ultimate illusion.

2. It defeats procrastination and regret. Most people waste years saying “someday” or “one day.” NOW is the antidote. Acting immediately turns intentions into results, dreams into progress, and potential into achievement. The pain of regret from things left undone far outweighs the discomfort of starting right now.

3. Opportunities only exist in the present. Doors open in the NOW — not before and not after. Markets shift, relationships form, ideas spark, and windows of possibility appear and disappear quickly. The people who seize NOW are the ones who shape their future instead of watching it pass them by.

4. It’s where life is actually lived. You don’t experience joy, love, peace, or growth in the past or future — only in the present moment. NOW is the arena for gratitude, connection, faith, and presence. Everything else is just mental noise.

5. Spiritually and eternally, NOW is urgent. As the Bible puts it, “Now is the day of salvation” (2 Corinthians 6:2). For faith, repentance, forgiveness, or making things right — tomorrow is never promised. At any age, especially with the wisdom of experience, NOW is the moment that matters most for what lasts forever.

Bottom line: NOW isn’t just three letters — it’s a mindset. The most successful, fulfilled, and impactful people (in business, faith, family, or service) are the ones who live by it. What are you going to do with your NOW?

Chapter 29 in Proverbs for today: (JUNE 29 (MT) (ESV)

29 He who is often reproved, yet stiffens his neck,
    will suddenly be broken beyond healing.
²When the righteous increase, the people rejoice,
    but when the wicked rule, the people groan.
³He who loves wisdom makes his father glad,
    but a companion of prostitutes squanders his wealth.
⁴By justice a king builds up the land,
    but he who exacts gifts^[a] tears it down.
⁵A man who flatters his neighbor
    spreads a net for his feet.
⁶An evil man is ensnared in his transgression,
    but a righteous man sings and rejoices.
⁷A righteous man knows the rights of the poor;
    a wicked man does not understand such knowledge.
⁸Scoffers set a city aflame,
    but the wise turn away wrath.
⁹If a wise man has an argument with a fool,
    the fool only rages and laughs, and there is no quiet.
¹⁰Bloodthirsty men hate one who is blameless
    and seek the life of the upright.^[b]
¹¹A fool gives full vent to his spirit,

CHAPTER 36 ISAIAH for today: (JUNE 29 (JJ) (ESV)

36 In the fourteenth year of King Hezekiah, Sennacherib king of Assyria came up against all the fortified cities of Judah and took them. ²And the king of Assyria sent the Rabshakeh^[a] from Lachish to King Hezekiah at Jerusalem, with a great army. And he stood by the conduit of the upper pool on the highway to the Washer’s Field. ³And there came out to him Eliakim the son of Hilkiah, who was over the household, and Shebna the secretary, and Joah the son of Asaph, the recorder.

⁴And the Rabshakeh said to them, “Say to Hezekiah, ‘Thus says the great king, the king of Assyria: On what do you rest this trust of yours? ⁵Do you think that mere words are strategy and power for war? In whom do you now trust, that you have rebelled against me? ⁶Behold, you are trusting in Egypt, that broken reed of a staff, which will pierce the hand of any man who leans on it. Such is Pharaoh king of Egypt to all who trust in him. ⁷But if you say to me, “We trust in the Lord our God,” is it not he whose high places and altars Hezekiah has removed, saying to Judah and to Jerusalem, “You shall worship before this altar”? ⁸Come now, make a wager with my master the king of Assyria: I will give you two thousand horses, if you are able on your part to set riders on them. ⁹How then can you repulse a single captain among the least of my master’s servants, when you trust in Egypt for chariots and for horsemen? ¹⁰Moreover, is it without the Lord that I have come up against this land to destroy it? The Lord said to me, “Go up against this land and destroy it.”’”

¹¹Then Eliakim, Shebna, and Joah said to the Rabshakeh, “Please speak to your servants in Aramaic, for we understand it. Do not speak to us in the language of Judah within the hearing of the people who are on the wall.” ¹²But the Rabshakeh said, “Has my master sent me to speak these words to your master and to you, and not to the men sitting on the wall, who are doomed with you to eat their own dung and drink their own urine?”

¹³Then the Rabshakeh stood and called out in a loud voice in the language of Judah: “Hear the words of the great king, the king of Assyria! ¹⁴Thus says the king: ‘Do not let Hezekiah deceive you, for he will not be able to deliver you. ¹⁵Do not let Hezekiah make you trust in the Lord by saying, “The Lord will surely deliver us. This city will not be given into the hand of the king of Assyria.” ¹⁶Do not listen to Hezekiah. For thus says the king of Assyria: Make your peace with me^[b] and come out to me. Then each one of you will eat of his own vine, and each one of his own fig tree, and each one of you will drink the water of his own cistern, ¹⁷until I come and take you away to a land like your own land, a land of grain and wine, a land of bread and vineyards. ¹⁸Beware lest Hezekiah mislead you by saying, “The Lord will deliver us.” Has any of the gods of the nations delivered his land out of the hand of the king of Assyria? ¹⁹Where are the gods of Hamath and Arpad? Where are the gods of Sepharvaim? Have they delivered Samaria out of my hand? ²⁰Who among all the gods of these lands have delivered their lands out of my hand, that the Lord should deliver Jerusalem out of my hand?’”

²¹But they were silent and answered him not a word, for the king’s command was, “Do not answer him.” ²²Then Eliakim the son of Hilkiah, who was over the household, and Shebna the secretary, and Joah the son of Asaph, the recorder, came to Hezekiah with their clothes torn, and told him the words of the Rabshakeh.

Revelation 09

9 And the fifth angel blew his trumpet, and I saw a star fallen from heaven to earth, and he was given the key to the shaft of the bottomless pit.^[a] ²He opened the shaft of the bottomless pit, and from the shaft rose smoke like the smoke of a great furnace, and the sun and the air were darkened with the smoke from the shaft. ³Then from the smoke came locusts on the earth, and they were given power like the power of scorpions of the earth. ⁴They were told not to harm the grass of the earth or any green plant or any tree, but only those people who do not have the seal of God on their foreheads. ⁵They were allowed to torment them for five months, but not to kill them, and their torment was like the torment of a scorpion when it stings someone. ⁶And in those days people will seek death and will not find it. They will long to die, but death will flee from them.

⁷In appearance the locusts were like horses prepared for battle: on their heads were what looked like crowns of gold; their faces were like human faces, ⁸their hair like women’s hair, and their teeth like lions’ teeth; ⁹they had breastplates like breastplates of iron, and the noise of their wings was like the noise of many chariots with horses rushing into battle. ¹⁰They have tails and stings like scorpions, and their power to hurt people for five months is in their tails. ¹¹They have as king over them the angel of the bottomless pit. His name in Hebrew is Abaddon, and in Greek he is called Apollyon.^[b]

¹²The first woe has passed; behold, two woes are still to come.

¹³Then the sixth angel blew his trumpet, and I heard a voice from the four horns of the golden altar before God, ¹⁴saying to the sixth angel who had the trumpet, “Release the four angels who are bound at the great river Euphrates.” ¹⁵So the four angels, who had been prepared for the hour, the day, the month, and the year, were released to kill a third of mankind. ¹⁶The number of mounted troops was twice ten thousand times ten thousand; I heard their number. ¹⁷And this is how I saw the horses in my vision and those who rode them: they wore breastplates the color of fire and of sapphire^[c] and of sulfur, and the heads of the horses were like lions’ heads, and fire and smoke and sulfur came out of their mouths. ¹⁸By these three plagues a third of mankind was killed, by the fire and smoke and sulfur coming out of their mouths. ¹⁹For the power of the horses is in their mouths and in their tails, for their tails are like serpents with heads, and by means of them they wound.

²⁰The rest of mankind, who were not killed by these plagues, did not repent of the works of their hands nor give up worshiping demons and idols of gold and silver and bronze and stone and wood, which cannot see or hear or walk, ²¹nor did they repent of their murders or their sorceries or their sexual immorality or their thefts.
