It is ALWAYS safe to trust God’s methods and to live by His clock! #5,382

           Daily Devotional

                  October 15

It is ALWAYS safe to trust God’s methods and to live by His clock!

God’s ways are higher than ours, and His timing is perfect. Isaiah 55:8-9 (TLB) reminds us: “‘My thoughts are not like your thoughts,’ says the Lord. ‘And My ways are different from yours. As high as the heavens are above the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways and My thoughts higher than your thoughts.’”

What looks like delay, detour, or denial from our limited view is often divine precision. Human methods lean on haste, self-effort, and visible results. God’s methods rest on sovereignty, wisdom, and love. He never wastes a moment, never overlooks a detail, and never fails a promise.

Scripture repeatedly shows that living by God’s clock brings safety and fruit: Abraham waited decades for the promised son; Joseph endured years in a pit and a prison before the palace; Moses spent forty years in the desert before leading Israel; Jesus Himself waited until the “right time” (Galatians 4:4) to enter history!

In each case, rushing ahead would have produced disaster; waiting produced fulfillment.

Habakkuk 2:3 (TLB) encourages us: “But these things I plan won’t happen right away. Slowly, steadily, surely, the time approaches when the vision will be fulfilled. If it seems slow, do not despair, for these things will surely come to pass. Just be patient! They will not be overdue a single day!”

To live by His clock means surrendering our agenda. It means praying, “Not my will, but Yours,” and then walking in obedience while we wait. It means refusing to manipulate circumstances or invent shortcuts that compromise integrity. Psalm 27:14 (TLB) says, “Don’t be impatient. Wait for the Lord, and He will come and save you! Be brave, stouthearted, and courageous. Yes, wait and He will help you.” Courage here is not frantic activity; it is quiet confidence that the One who holds all time also holds us!

Practically, this trust frees us from anxiety. When doors close, we do not panic; we ask what God is protecting or preparing. When answers tarry, we do not grow bitter; we grow deeper in dependence. Romans 8:28 assures that He is working all things for the good of those who love Him and are called according to His purpose. His methods may include wilderness seasons, closed doors, or unexpected paths, yet every one of them is safe because He is both good and all-wise!

At  the center of this confidence stands Jesus. He trusted the Father’s timing all the way to the cross and the empty tomb. Because He lives, we can rest. The same God who raised Him will complete the good work He began in us. So we can say with certainty: It is always safe to trust God’s methods and to live by His clock.

His timing is never late, His ways are never wrong, and His love never fails!🙏✝️🙏

AMEN!

Let us Praise Him Daily!

A good way to learn to Praise God is to memorize the first 6 Verses of Psalms 148:

1 Praise the Lord, O heavens! Praise Him from the skies!

2 Praise Him, all His angels, all the armies of heaven.

3 Praise Him, sun and moon and all you twinkling stars.

4 Praise Him, skies above. Praise Him, vapors high above the clouds.

5 Let everything He has made give praise to Him. For He issued His command, and they came into being;

6 He established them forever and forever. His orders will never be revoked.

PLEASE read the last 6 Chapters of Psalms: 145-150 so that you will learn how to Praise God like David did!

>3. PLUS: 1 NEW Chapter from the New Testament Daily:

Chapter 15 in Proverbs for today: (OCTOBER 15 (MT) (ESV)

  1. 15 A soft answer turns away wrath,
        but a harsh word stirs up anger.
    2 The tongue of the wise commends knowledge,
        but the mouths of fools pour out folly.
    3 The eyes of the Lord are in every place,
        keeping watch on the evil and the good.
    4 A gentle[a] tongue is a tree of life,
        but perverseness in it breaks the spirit.
    5 A fool despises his father’s instruction,
        but whoever heeds reproof is prudent.
    6 In the house of the righteous there is much treasure,
        but trouble befalls the income of the wicked.
    7 The lips of the wise spread knowledge;
        not so the hearts of fools.[b]
    8 The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to the Lord,
        but the prayer of the upright is acceptable to him.
    9 The way of the wicked is an abomination to the Lord,
        but he loves him who pursues righteousness.
    10 There is severe discipline for him who forsakes the way;
        whoever hates reproof will die.
    11 Sheol and Abaddon lie open before the Lord;
        how much more the hearts of the children of man!
    12 A scoffer does not like to be reproved;
        he will not go to the wise.
    13 A glad heart makes a cheerful face,
        but by sorrow of heart the spirit is crushed.
    14 The heart of him who has understanding seeks knowledge,
        but the mouths of fools feed on folly.
    15 All the days of the afflicted are evil,
        but the cheerful of heart has a continual feast.
    16 Better is a little with the fear of the Lord
        than great treasure and trouble with it.
    17 Better is a dinner of herbs where love is
        than a fattened ox and hatred with it.
    18 A hot-tempered man stirs up strife,
        but he who is slow to anger quiets contention.
    19 The way of a sluggard is like a hedge of thorns,
        but the path of the upright is a level highway.
    20 A wise son makes a glad father,
        but a foolish man despises his mother.
    21 Folly is a joy to him who lacks sense,
        but a man of understanding walks straight ahead.
    22 Without counsel plans fail,
        but with many advisers they succeed.
    23 To make an apt answer is a joy to a man,
        and a word in season, how good it is!
    24 The path of life leads upward for the prudent,
        that he may turn away from Sheol beneath.
    25 The Lord tears down the house of the proud
        but maintains the widow’s boundaries.
    26 The thoughts of the wicked are an abomination to the Lord,
        but gracious words are pure.
    27 Whoever is greedy for unjust gain troubles his own household,
        but he who hates bribes will live.
    28 The heart of the righteous ponders how to answer,
        but the mouth of the wicked pours out evil things.
    29 The Lord is far from the wicked,
        but he hears the prayer of the righteous.
    30 The light of the eyes rejoices the heart,
        and good news refreshes[c] the bones.
    31 The ear that listens to life-giving reproof
        will dwell among the wise.
    32 Whoever ignores instruction despises himself,
        but he who listens to reproof gains intelligence.
    33 The fear of the Lord is instruction in wisdom,
        and humility comes before honor.

CHAPTER 10 ISAIAH for today:

(October 15 (RF) ESV)

10 Woe to those who decree iniquitous decrees,
    and the writers who keep writing oppression,
2 to turn aside the needy from justice
    and to rob the poor of my people of their right,
that widows may be their spoil,
    and that they may make the fatherless their prey!
3 What will you do on the day of punishment,
    in the ruin that will come from afar?
To whom will you flee for help,
    and where will you leave your wealth?
4 Nothing remains but to crouch among the prisoners
    or fall among the slain.
For all this his anger has not turned away,
    and his hand is stretched out still.

Judgment on Arrogant Assyria

5 Woe to Assyria, the rod of my anger;
    the staff in their hands is my fury!
6 Against a godless nation I send him,
    and against the people of my wrath I command him,
to take spoil and seize plunder,
    and to tread them down like the mire of the streets.
7 But he does not so intend,
    and his heart does not so think;
but it is in his heart to destroy,
    and to cut off nations not a few;
8 for he says:
“Are not my commanders all kings?
9 Is not Calno like Carchemish?
    Is not Hamath like Arpad?
    Is not Samaria like Damascus?
10 As my hand has reached to the kingdoms of the idols,
    whose carved images were greater than those of Jerusalem and Samaria,
11 shall I not do to Jerusalem and her idols
    as I have done to Samaria and her images?”

12 When the Lord has finished all his work on Mount Zion and on Jerusalem, he[a] will punish the speech[b] of the arrogant heart of the king of Assyria and the boastful look in his eyes. 13 For he says:

“By the strength of my hand I have done it,
    and by my wisdom, for I have understanding;
I remove the boundaries of peoples,
    and plunder their treasures;
    like a bull I bring down those who sit on thrones.
14 My hand has found like a nest
    the wealth of the peoples;
and as one gathers eggs that have been forsaken,
    so I have gathered all the earth;
and there was none that moved a wing
    or opened the mouth or chirped.”

15 Shall the axe boast over him who hews with it,
    or the saw magnify itself against him who wields it?
As if a rod should wield him who lifts it,
    or as if a staff should lift him who is not wood!
16 Therefore the Lord God of hosts
    will send wasting sickness among his stout warriors,
and under his glory a burning will be kindled,
    like the burning of fire.
17 The light of Israel will become a fire,
    and his Holy One a flame,
and it will burn and devour
    his thorns and briers in one day.
18 The glory of his forest and of his fruitful land
    the Lord will destroy, both soul and body,
    and it will be as when a sick man wastes away.
19 The remnant of the trees of his forest will be so few
    that a child can write them down.

The Remnant of Israel Will Return

20 In that day the remnant of Israel and the survivors of the house of Jacob will no more lean on him who struck them, but will lean on the Lord, the Holy One of Israel, in truth. 21 A remnant will return, the remnant of Jacob, to the mighty God. 22 For though your people Israel be as the sand of the sea, only a remnant of them will return. Destruction is decreed, overflowing with righteousness. 23 For the Lord God of hosts will make a full end, as decreed, in the midst of all the earth.

24 Therefore thus says the Lord God of hosts: “O my people, who dwell in Zion, be not afraid of the Assyrians when they strike with the rod and lift up their staff against you as the Egyptians did. 25 For in a very little while my fury will come to an end, and my anger will be directed to their destruction. 26 And the Lord of hosts will wield against them a whip, as when he struck Midian at the rock of Oreb. And his staff will be over the sea, and he will lift it as he did in Egypt. 27 And in that day his burden will depart from your shoulder, and his yoke from your neck; and the yoke will be broken because of the fat.”[c]

28 He has come to Aiath;
he has passed through Migron;
    at Michmash he stores his baggage;
29 they have crossed over the pass;
    at Geba they lodge for the night;
Ramah trembles;
    Gibeah of Saul has fled.
30 Cry aloud, O daughter of Gallim!
    Give attention, O Laishah!
    O poor Anathoth!
31 Madmenah is in flight;
    the inhabitants of Gebim flee for safety.
32 This very day he will halt at Nob;
    he will shake his fist
    at the mount of the daughter of Zion,
    the hill of Jerusalem.

33 Behold, the Lord God of hosts
    will lop the boughs with terrifying power;
the great in height will be hewn down,
    and the lofty will be brought low.
34 He will cut down the thickets of the forest with an axe,
    and Lebanon will fall by the Majestic One.

Revelation 01

for today: (OCTOBER  15 (NN) ESV)

1 The revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave him to show to his servants[a] the things that must soon take place. He made it known by sending his angel to his servant John, 2 who bore witness to the word of God and to the testimony of Jesus Christ, even to all that he saw. 3 Blessed is the one who reads aloud the words of this prophecy, and blessed are those who hear, and who keep what is written in it, for the time is near.

Greeting to the Seven Churches

4 John to the seven churches that are in Asia:

Grace to you and peace from him who is and who was and who is to come, and from the seven spirits who are before his throne, 5 and from Jesus Christ the faithful witness, the firstborn of the dead, and the ruler of kings on earth.

To him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by his blood 6 and made us a kingdom, priests to his God and Father, to him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen. 7 Behold, he is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see him, even those who pierced him, and all tribes of the earth will wail[b] on account of him. Even so. Amen.

8 “I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, “who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.”

Vision of the Son of Man

9 I, John, your brother and partner in the tribulation and the kingdom and the patient endurance that are in Jesus, was on the island called Patmos on account of the word of God and the testimony of Jesus. 10 I was in the Spirit on the Lord’s day, and I heard behind me a loud voice like a trumpet 11 saying, “Write what you see in a book and send it to the seven churches, to Ephesus and to Smyrna and to Pergamum and to Thyatira and to Sardis and to Philadelphia and to Laodicea.”

12 Then I turned to see the voice that was speaking to me, and on turning I saw seven golden lampstands, 13 and in the midst of the lampstands one like a son of man, clothed with a long robe and with a golden sash around his chest. 14 The hairs of his head were white, like white wool, like snow. His eyes were like a flame of fire, 15 his feet were like burnished bronze, refined in a furnace, and his voice was like the roar of many waters. 16 In his right hand he held seven stars, from his mouth came a sharp two-edged sword, and his face was like the sun shining in full strength.

17 When I saw him, I fell at his feet as though dead. But he laid his right hand on me, saying, “Fear not, I am the first and the last, 18 and the living one. I died, and behold I am alive forevermore, and I have the keys of Death and Hades. 19 Write therefore the things that you have seen, those that are and those that are to take place after this. 20 As for the mystery of the seven stars that you saw in my right hand, and the seven golden lampstands, the seven stars are the angels of the seven churches, and the seven lampstands are the seven churches.

Please Remember:

“CHRIST DIED FOR OUR SINS

AND ROSE FROM THE DEAD!”

The Steps to Salvation:

> Repent: Repentance means that you are turning away from sin to turn to Christ. It does NOT mean that you will be perfect.

> Believe/Receive: Salvation is through Faith in Jesus and by the Grace of God. Believing means putting your Faith in Jesus and receiving forgiveness of sin.

>Walk in the Newness of Life: Jesus died so that we might live. We walk in the Newness of Life being Born Again by His Blood.
