Prayer: Father God we Pray that we will remember that all of our Ancestors came to this Great Country on different Ships, that we all fought together 243 years ago for our Freedom and that we are now ALL in the SAME ship. That your Only Begotten Son, Jesus Christ, COMMANDED us as He ascended back into Heaven to be with You, to love each other as we do ourselves. Please help us all to remember that You created us all equal, none better than the other in Your Sight, in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Two Sins You Need to Beware!
“Then they said to one another, “We are not doing right. This day is a day of good news, and we remain silent. If we wait until morning light, some punishment will come upon us. Now therefore, come, let us go and tell the king’s household”
Andrew Murray said, “There are two classes of Christians: soul winners, and backsliders.” In my humble estimation, there are two great sins a Christian can commit: the greatest is to fail to love the Lord Jesus. The second greatest is not adultery or drunkenness, but it is the sin of silence—to refuse to share the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Suppose you knew the cure for cancer. Would you not tell it? Suppose you were on an island where people were starving to death and you knew where there was a vast hoard of food. Would you not tell it?
Ours is the greatest mission, the greatest message, the greatest Master the world knows anything about. Our mission is the Great Commission. Our message is the saving Gospel of our Lord and Savior. Our master, Jesus Christ Himself, has told us we are to take the gospel to every creature on earth. Yet many Christians are sinning against this command. They’re committing what I call “the sin of silence.” If you’re not a witness, you’re not right with God, I don’t care what else you may do.
It doesn’t matter how faithfully you attend church, how eloquently you teach, how liberally you give, how beautifully you sing, or how many commandments you keep. What matters is, are you telling the good news? Stop committing the sin of silence. Share the Gospel. Witness to others about what Jesus has done for you.

“The Greatest thing that ever happened to me was when I realized that GOD forgave me of all my sins through the Death, Burial and Resurrection of His Son, Jesus and through my Faith in Him.”
It Will Not Be Long
“Be ye also patient; stablish your hearts: for the coming of the LORD draweth nigh” (James 5:8).
The last word in the Canticle of love is, “Make haste, my beloved,” and among the last words of the Apocalypse we read, “The Spirit and the Bride say, Come”; to which the heavenly Bridegroom answers, “Surely I come quickly.” Love longs for the glorious appearing of the LORD and enjoys this sweet promise – “The coming of the LORD draweth nigh.” This stays our minds as to the future. We look out with hope through this window.
This sacred “window of agate” lets in a flood of light upon the present and puts us into fine condition for immediate work or suffering. Are we tired? Then the nearness of our joy whispers patience. Are we growing weary because we do not see the harvest of our seed-sowing? Again this glorious truth cries to us, “Be patient.” Do our multiplied temptations cause us in the least to waver? Then the assurance that before long the LORD will be here preaches to us from this text, “Stablish your hearts.” Be firm, be stable, be constant, “stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the LORD.” Soon will you hear the silver trumpet which announces the coming of your King. Be not in the least afraid. Hold the fort, for He is coming; yea, He may appear this very day.
For what if some did not believe? shall their unbelief make the faith of God without effect? (Rom. 3:3).
I think that I can trace every scrap of sorrow in my life to simple unbelief. How could I be anything but quite happy if I believed always that all the past is forgiven, and all the present furnished with power, and all the future bright with hope because of the same abiding facts which do not change with my mood, do not stumble because I totter and stagger at the promise through unbelief, but stand firm and clear with their peaks of pearl cleaving the air of Eternity, and the bases of their hills rooted unfathomably in the Rock of God. Mont Blanc does not become a phantom or a mist because a climber grows dizzy on its side.
Is it any wonder that, when we stagger at any promise of God through unbelief, we do not receive it? Not that faith merits an answer, or in any way earns it, or works it out; but God has made believing a condition of receiving, and the Giver has a sovereign right to choose His own terms of gift.
–Rev. Samuel Hart
Unbelief says, “How can such and such things be?” It is full of “hows”; but faith has one great answer to the ten thousand “hows,” and that answer is–GOD!
–C. H. M.
If there should arise, it has been said–and the words are surely true to the thought of our Lord Jesus Christ in all His teaching on prayer—if there should arise ONE UTTERLY BELIEVING MAN, the history of the world might be changed.
Will YOU not be that one in the providence and guidance of God our Father?
–A. E. McAdam
Prayer without faith degenerates into objectless routine, or soulless hypocrisy. Prayer with faith brings Omnipotence to back our petitions. Better not pray unless and until your whole being responds to the efficacy of your supplication. When the true prayer is breathed, earth and heaven, the past and the future, say Amen. And Christ prayed such prayers.
–P. C. M.
Nothing lies beyond the reach of prayer except that which lies outside the will of God.
(Luke 9:26 and Mark 8:38
If anyone is Ashamed of Me on earth, I shall be ashamed of him in Heaven.)
WHEN A CHRISTIAN DIES THEY ARE TAKEN BY ANGELS TO BE WITH JESUS: LUKE 16:22
WHEN AN UNBELIEVER DIES HIS SOUL GOES STRAIGHT TO HADES/HELL: LUKE 16: 22-23
TO BECOME A CHRISTIAN YOU MUST:
BELIEVE, ON FAITH, JOHN 3:16: THAT GOD SENT HIS ONLY BEGOTTEN SON, JESUS, TO THIS EARTH TO DIE ON THE CROSS AT CALVARY OVER 2,000 YEARS AGO, AS PAYMENT FOR ALL OF YOUR SINS, WAS BURIED IN A BORROWED TOMB, ROSE FROM THE DEAD ON THE 3RD DAY (EASTER) AND ASCENDED BACK INTO HEAVEN TO SIT ON HIS THRONE TO THE RIGHT-HAND OF HIS FATHER GOD AS OUR: HIGH-PRIEST, ADVOCATE, LORD AND SAVIOR;
PRAY TO GOD ADMITTING THAT YOU ARE A SINNER AND THAT YOU REPENT OF THOSE SINS;
ACCEPT JESUS CHRIST AS YOUR PERSONAL SAVIOR, ON FAITH;
THAT YOU ARE MAKING HIM THE LORD OF YOUR LIFE AND ARE GIVING HIM CONTROL OF YOUR LIFE, IN JESUS’ NAME, AMEN.
If you do those 4 things, The Holy Spirit will enter your soul and you will become a Born-Again Christian and have your ticket into Heaven when you die where you will be with all other Christians for Eternity where there is no end!
John 14:6 makes it very clear that there is no other way into Heaven.
God loves you and He wants you to be with Him in Heaven!
But there is a problem: The entire Human Race has been infected with a disease sin when Adam & Eve sinned in the Garden of Eden and there is only one cure for that sin:
You CANNOT earn your way into Heaven: The Price has already been paid by Christ’s Death on the Cross, kind of like if you were eating at a Restaurant and the Waitress comes by & tells you that someone else picked up your check!
I personally am a great sinner,
but I have a Great Savior.
I beg you to do these 4 things NOW! Those are probably the most important 3 letters in the English language! There may be no tomorrow for you; please accept Christ as your Personal Savior now and KNOW that all of your sins are forgiven and that you will go to Heaven when you die.
God Bless you,
Sinner saved by Grace

1 Thessalonians 5:6
Let us not sleep, as do others.
There are many ways of promoting Christian wakefulness. Among the rest, let me strongly advise Christians to converse together concerning the ways of the Lord. Christian and Hopeful, as they journeyed towards the Celestial City, said to themselves, “To prevent drowsiness in this place, let us fall into good discourse.” Christian enquired, “Brother, where shall we begin?” And Hopeful answered, “Where God began with us.” Then Christian sang this song-
“When saints do sleepy grow, let them come hither,
And hear how these two pilgrims talk together;
Yea, let them learn of them, in any wise,
Thus to keep open their drowsy slumb’ring eyes.
Saints’ fellowship, if it be managed well,
Keeps them awake, and that in spite of hell.”
Christians who isolate themselves and walk alone, are very liable to grow drowsy. Hold Christian company, and you will be kept wakeful by it, and refreshed and encouraged to make quicker progress in the road to heaven. But as you thus take “sweet counsel” with others in the ways of God, take care that the theme of your converse is the Lord Jesus. Let the eye of faith be constantly looking unto Him; let your heart be full of Him; let your lips speak of His worth. Friend, live near to the cross, and thou wilt not sleep. Labour to impress thyself with a deep sense of the value of the place to which thou art going. If thou rememberest that thou art going to heaven, thou wilt not sleep on the road. If thou thinkest that hell is behind thee, and the devil pursuing thee, thou wilt not loiter. Would the manslayer sleep with the avenger of blood behind him, and the city of refuge before him? Christian, wilt thou sleep whilst the pearly gates are open-the songs of angels waiting for thee to join them-a crown of gold ready for thy brow? Ah! no; in holy fellowship continue to watch and pray that ye enter not into temptation.

Why I Believe in the Return of Christ
BY JOHN MORGAN · SEPTEMBER 10, 2015
God continues to bless Sagemont Church. In the last two Sundays, over 100 people have made public decisions to make Jesus Christ Lord of their life. Pastors Chuck Schneider, Stuart Rothberg, and Jim Hastings have been teaching the scriptures as both the Old and New Testaments prophesy and proclaim that Jesus Christ is coming back to this earth again to claim and receive His children unto Himself. During the worship services, I am preaching the message and promise of the return of Christ.
One may ask, “Pastor, why do you passionately believe that Jesus is literally going to return to the earth?” These are a few reasons:
Why I Believe in the Return of Christ
- Jesus said He would! John 14:3 “I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also.”
- The entire Christian view of history demands it.
- The prophetic signs found in scripture are now clearly being fulfilled.
- Earthquakes all over the globe. Matthew 24:7 – (over 20,000 since 1971)
- Hearts will fail for fear. Luke 21:26 – Suicides are epidemic.
- Great explosions of learning. II Timothy 3:7 – People cannot discern the truth.
- Immorality abounds. Luke 17:26-27 – Like the days of Noah.
Scripture clearly teaches that Jesus will come to save His children and judge the rest.
God and Churchill
BY JOHN MORGAN · MAY 19, 2016
I have just completed reading one of the best books that I have read in the last twenty years. God and Churchill, written by one of our newest Sagemont members Jonathan Sandys (pronounced “sands”), great-grandson of Sir Winston Churchill. Wallace Henley, staff member at Second Baptist Church, Houston, assisted Jonathan in this profound book. The purpose of the book is to make clear “how the great leader’s sense of divine destiny changed his troubled world and offers help for ours.” Tyndale Momentum is the publisher. The book has many profound quotes. However, there is one that has impacted my life more than many others. Prime Minister of Great Britain, Margaret Thatcher, addressing the Church of Scotland General Assembly in 1988, said “I think back to many discussions in my early life when we all agreed that if you try to take the fruits of Christianity without its roots, the fruits will wither. And they will not come back unless you nurture the roots.”
One of the responsibilities of the Bride of Christ, the Church, is to keep Christianity on track and prevent the derailing of His ultimate purpose. The paganism that is engulfing us today will ultimately destroy us unless we return to the roots of our faith. “Our faith is built on nothing less than Jesus’ blood and righteousness.” It is on the solid rock we must stand for truly all other ground is sinking sand.
Note: The book God and Churchill is available in the Sagemont Bookstore.
PLEASE REMEMBER JERUSALEM AND ISRAEL IN YOUR PRAYERS!
Read and hear each Chapter from the Book of Revelation:
Then there was a voice from above the platform over their heads when they stood still. (Ezek 1:25)
That is the letting down of the wings? People so often say, “How do you get the voice of the Lord?” Here is the secret. They heard the voice when they stood and let down their wings.
We have seen a bird with fluttering wings; though standing still, its wings are fluttering. But here we are told they heard the voice when they stood and had let down their wings.
Do we not sometimes kneel or sit before the Lord and yet feel conscious of a fluttering of our spirits? Not a real stillness in His presence.
A dear one told me several days ago of a certain thing she prayed about, “But,” said she, “I did not wait until the answer came.”
She did not get still enough to hear Him speak, but went away and followed her own thought in the matter. And the result proved disastrous and she had to retrace her steps.
Oh, how much energy is wasted! How much time is lost by not letting down the wings of our spirit and getting very quiet before Him! Oh, the calm, the rest, the peace which come as we wait In His presence until we hear from Him!
Then, ah then, we can go like lightning, and turn not as we go but go straight forward whithersoever the Spirit goes. (Ezek. 1:1, 20)
“Be still! Just now be still!
Something thy soul hath never heard,
Something unknown to any song of bird,
Something unknown to any wind, or wave, or star,
A message from the Fatherland afar,
That with sweet joy the homesick soul shall thrill,
Cometh to thee if thou canst but be still.
“Be still! Just now be still!
There comes a presence very mild and sweet;
White are the sandals of His noiseless feet.
It is the Comforter whom Jesus sent
To teach thee what the words He uttered meant.
The willing, waiting spirit, He doth fill.
If thou would’st hear His message,
Dear soul, be still!”
