Chapter 14 in Proverbs for today: (Jan 14) (Living Bible)
14 A wise woman builds her house, while a foolish woman tears hers down by her own efforts.
2 To do right honors God; to sin is to despise him.
3 A rebel’s foolish talk should prick his own pride! But the wise man’s speech is respected.
4 An empty stable stays clean—but there is no income from an empty stable.
5 A truthful witness never lies; a false witness always lies.
6 A mocker never finds the wisdom he claims he is looking for, yet it comes easily to the man with common sense.
7 If you are looking for advice, stay away from fools.
8 The wise man looks ahead. The fool attempts to fool himself and won’t face facts.
9 The common bond of rebels is their guilt.[a] The common bond of godly people is goodwill.
10 Only the person involved can know his own bitterness or joy—no one else can really share it.
11 The work of the wicked will perish; the work of the godly will flourish.
12 Before every man there lies a wide and pleasant road that seems right but ends in death.
13 Laughter cannot mask a heavy heart. When the laughter ends, the grief remains.
14 The backslider gets bored with himself; the godly man’s life is exciting.
15 Only a simpleton believes everything he’s told! A prudent man understands the need for proof.
16 A wise man is cautious and avoids danger; a fool plunges ahead with great confidence.
17 A short-tempered man is a fool. He hates the man who is patient.
18 The simpleton is crowned with folly; the wise man is crowned with knowledge.
19 Evil men shall bow before the godly.
20-21 Even his own neighbors despise the poor man, while the rich have many “friends.” But to despise the poor is to sin. Blessed are those who help them.
22 Those who plot evil shall wander away and be lost, but those who plan good shall be granted mercy and quietness.
23 Work brings profit; talk brings poverty!
24 Wise men are praised for their wisdom; fools are despised for their folly.
25 A witness who tells the truth saves good men from being sentenced to death, but a false witness is a traitor.
26 Reverence for God gives a man deep strength; his children have a place of refuge and security.
27 Reverence for the Lord is a fountain of life; its waters keep a man from death.
28 A growing population is a king’s glory; a dwindling nation is his doom.
29 A wise man controls his temper. He knows that anger causes mistakes.
30 A relaxed attitude lengthens a man’s life; jealousy rots it away.
31 Anyone who oppresses the poor is insulting God who made them. To help the poor is to honor God.
32 The godly have a refuge when they die, but the wicked are crushed by their sins.
33 Wisdom is enshrined in the hearts of men of common sense, but it must shout loudly before fools will hear it.
34 Godliness exalts a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people.
35 A king rejoices in servants who know what they are doing; he is angry with those who cause trouble.
- Proverbs 14:9 The common bond of rebels is their guilt, or “Fools make a mock at sin.” The Hebrew is obscure.
Chapter 2 in (Genesis) for today: (January 14) (Living Bible)
2 Now at last the heavens and earth were successfully completed, with all that they contained. 2 So on the seventh day, having finished his task, God ceased from this work he had been doing, 3 and God blessed the seventh day and declared it holy, because it was the day when he ceased this work of creation.
4 Here is a summary of the events in the creation of the heavens and earth when the Lord God made them.
5 There were no plants or grain sprouting up across the earth at first, for the Lord God hadn’t sent any rain; nor was there anyone to farm the soil. 6 (However, water welled up from the ground at certain places and flowed across the land.)
7 The time came when the Lord God formed a man’s body from the dust of the ground[a] and breathed into it the breath of life. And man became a living person.
8 Then the Lord God planted a garden in Eden, to the east, and placed in the garden the man he had formed. 9 The Lord God planted all sorts of beautiful trees there in the garden, trees producing the choicest of fruit. At the center of the garden he placed the Tree of Life, and also the Tree of Conscience, giving knowledge of Good and Bad. 10 A river from the land of Eden flowed through the garden to water it; afterwards the river divided into four branches. 11-12 One of these was named the Pishon; it winds across the entire length of the land of Havilah,[b] where nuggets of pure gold are found, also beautiful bdellium and even lapis lazuli. 13 The second branch is called the Gihon, crossing the entire length of the land of Cush. 14 The third branch is the Tigris, which flows to the east of the city of Asher. And the fourth is the Euphrates.
15 The Lord God placed the man in the Garden of Eden as its gardener, to tend and care for it. 16-17 But the Lord God gave the man this warning: “You may eat any fruit in the garden except fruit from the Tree of Conscience—for its fruit will open your eyes to make you aware of right and wrong, good and bad. If you eat its fruit, you will be doomed to die.”
18 And the Lord God said, “It isn’t good for man to be alone; I will make a companion for him, a helper suited to his needs.” 19-20 So the Lord God formed from the soil every kind of animal and bird, and brought them to the man to see what he would call them; and whatever he called them, that was their name. But still there was no proper helper for the man. 21 Then the Lord God caused the man to fall into a deep sleep, and took one of his ribs and closed up the place from which he had removed it, 22 and made the rib into a woman, and brought her to the man.
23 “This is it!” Adam exclaimed. “She is part of my own bone and flesh! Her name is ‘woman’ because she was taken out of a man.” 24 This explains why a man leaves his father and mother and is joined to his wife in such a way that the two become one person.[c] 25 Now although the man and his wife were both naked, neither of them was embarrassed or ashamed.
Chapter 2 in (Matthew) for today: (January 14) (Living Bible)
2 Jesus was born in the town of Bethlehem, in Judea, during the reign of King Herod.
At about that time some astrologers from eastern lands arrived in Jerusalem, asking, 2 “Where is the newborn King of the Jews? for we have seen his star in far-off eastern lands and have come to worship him.”
3 King Herod was deeply disturbed by their question, and all Jerusalem was filled with rumors.[a] 4 He called a meeting of the Jewish religious leaders.
“Did the prophets tell us where the Messiah would be born?” he asked.
5 “Yes, in Bethlehem,” they said, “for this is what the prophet Micah[b] wrote:
6 ‘O little town of Bethlehem, you are not just an unimportant Judean village, for a Governor shall rise from you to rule my people Israel.’”
7 Then Herod sent a private message to the astrologers, asking them to come to see him; at this meeting he found out from them the exact time when they first saw the star. Then he told them, 8 “Go to Bethlehem and search for the child. And when you find him, come back and tell me so that I can go and worship him too!”
9 After this interview the astrologers started out again. And look! The star appeared to them again, standing over Bethlehem.[c] 10 Their joy knew no bounds!
11 Entering the house where the baby and Mary, his mother, were, they threw themselves down before him, worshiping. Then they opened their presents and gave him gold, frankincense, and myrrh. 12 But when they returned to their own land, they didn’t go through Jerusalem to report to Herod, for God had warned them in a dream to go home another way.
13 After they were gone, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream. “Get up and flee to Egypt with the baby and his mother,” the angel said, “and stay there until I tell you to return, for King Herod is going to try to kill the child.” 14 That same[d] night he left for Egypt with Mary and the baby, 15 and stayed there until King Herod’s death. This fulfilled the prophet’s prediction,
“I have called my Son from Egypt.”[e]
16 Herod was furious when he learned that the astrologers had disobeyed him. Sending soldiers to Bethlehem, he ordered them to kill every baby boy two years old and under, both in the town and on the nearby farms, for the astrologers had told him the star first appeared to them two years before. 17 This brutal action of Herod’s fulfilled the prophecy of Jeremiah,
18 “Screams of anguish come from Ramah,[f]
Rachel weeping for her children,
For they are dead.”
19 When Herod died, an angel of the Lord appeared in a dream to Joseph in Egypt and told him, 20 “Get up and take the baby and his mother back to Israel, for those who were trying to kill the child are dead.”
21 So he returned immediately to Israel with Jesus and his mother. 22 But on the way he was frightened to learn that the new king was Herod’s son, Archelaus. Then, in another dream, he was warned not to go to Judea, so they went to Galilee instead 23 and lived in Nazareth. This fulfilled the prediction of the prophets concerning the Messiah,
“He shall be called a Nazarene.”
- Matthew 2:3 and all Jerusalem was filled with rumors, literally, “and all Jerusalem with him.”
- Matthew 2:5 Micah, implied; see Micah 5:2.
- Matthew 2:9 appeared to them again, standing over Bethlehem, literally, “went before them until it came and stood over where the baby lay.”
- Matthew 2:14 same, implied.
- Matthew 2:15 Compare Hosea 11:1.
- Matthew 2:18 Ramah, or “the region of Ramah.”

PRAY OVER THIS:
“So when they heard that, they raised their voice to God with one accord and said: ‘Lord, You are God, who made heaven and earth and the sea, and all that is in them’”
What gives the believer boldness? It is the fact that God—who scooped out the oceans, who heaped up the mountains, and who dotted the Universe with stars, billions and billions of stars, out over the velvety blackness of space—is on our side. In today’s passage and the verses that follow (See Acts 4:24-30.), the believers said, “God, You made it all. Why should we tremble when You are our Father? Why should we be intimidated when a God who can do such things is on our side?”
A college student once asked his pastor, “Pastor, do you believe there’s life on other planets, other places out in space?” Pastor said, “No, son, I really don’t believe there is.” He said, “Now, Pastor, think about it. There are billions and billions of stars, and you don’t believe there’s life out there anywhere?” The pastor said, “I can’t prove there’s not, but I don’t believe there is.” And then the college student said, “Well, Pastor, then why did God go to the trouble to make all that stuff?” The pastor said, “What trouble? He only had to speak. Only God can do that. He spoke and universes dripped from His fingers.” What a mighty God we serve.

Revelation Chapter 14
PRAYER: (Plan of Salvation)
FATHER GOD WE KNOW THAT YOU ARE THE SOVEREIGN KING OF THE ENTIRE UNIVERSE AND BEYOND, THANK YOU FOR YOUR MERCY AND GRACE OVER 2,000 YEARS AGO WHEN YOU SENT YOUR ONLY BEGOTTEN SON TO THIS EARTH TO DIE ON THE CROSS OF HIS OWN VOLITION AS PAYMENT FOR ALL OF OUR SINS IF WE WOULD ONLY BELIEVE ON HIM, REPENT OF OUR SINS AND GIVE HIM TOTAL CONTROL OF OUR LIVES.
DOING THOSE THINGS WE ARE SPIRITUALLY BORN AGAIN, THE HOLY SPIRIT SEALS US AND WRITES OUR NAME IN THE LAMB’S BOOK OF LIFE GIVING US ENTRY INTO HEAVEN WHEN WE DIE OR WHEN RETURNS AT THE RAPTURE.

“The Greatest thing that ever happened to me was when I realized that GOD forgave me of all my sins through the Death, Burial and Resurrection of His Son, Jesus and through my Faith in Him.”
Why is He so important in terms of what happens to my Soul, which resides in my body, until my body dies?
First, let me tell you that the Creator of the Universe, God the Father, truly Loves you and every member of the Human Race which He also created.
He also wants you and every human’s soul to be in Heaven with Him when your body dies here on earth. The part of you that goes to Heaven when you die is your soul.
Everyone has a soul that merely resides within your body as a tenant; the soul NEVER dies. Again, Father God Loves every human that has ever been born since Adam and Eve, 6,000 years ago, and He WANTS your soul to live for Eternity, to which there is NO END, with Him! BUT there is a problem:
Ever since Adam and Eve the ENTIRE Human Race has been infected with a DISEASE and there is only ONE CURE for it! Please remember that God created the Universe AND the Human Race, making Him the Sovereign King of the Universe, in other words:
HE SETS THE RULES!
The disease that we all have, as soon as we are conceived in our Mother’s Womb, is SIN! Adam and Eve broke God’s only Commandment at the time while they were in the Garden of Eden: “Don’t eat of the fruit of the forbidden tree!”
When they disobeyed that one Commandment, they SINNED! They were no longer HOLY and God threw them out of the Garden and, as He had told them: Their bodies would eventually die BUT their souls would live on for Eternity.
2,000 years later, God gave Moses the 10 Commandments for the people to live by. He set the Rule that if anyone broke one of those Commandments they were to sacrifice an unblemished lamb to God and God seeing the blood of that lamb, would forgive that person’s sins.
2,000 years after that, which brings us to 2,000 years ago, Father God showed His Mercy and Grace upon the entire human race by sending His Only Begotten Son: Jesus, to this earth, as Prophesied hundreds of years earlier in the Old Testament (Isaiah 7:14), as a human baby, born of a Virgin named Mary in the City of Bethlehem of Judea!
THIS is the Jesus everyone is talking about today!
He lived a perfectly SINLESS life, performed thousands of miracles during the 3 years that He Ministered from the age of 30 until He was 33. His last miracle was raising a good friend of His, named Lazarus, from the dead after he had been dead and in a tomb in Bethany for FOUR DAYS!
This miracle, seen by many Priests and Rabbis and common people of Bethany, INFURIATED the Priests and Rabbis because all of the people were starting to follow Jesus instead of them! They then started to plan a way to get rid of Jesus!
After Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead, He and His 12 Disciples went on in to Jerusalem for the Passover to Commemorate God’s freeing the Nation of Israel from the Egyptians hundreds of years earlier.
While in Jerusalem preparing for the Passover Dinner, one of Jesus’ Disciples, a traitor named Judas Iscariot, secretly met with the Priests and Rabbis and accepted 30 pieces of silver to BETRAY Jesus to them during the Passover Celebration.
During the Passover Supper with His 12 Disciples, including Judas, Jesus revealed the NEW COVENANT to them. This New Covenant would require Jesus to shed His Sinless Blood as Payment to Father God for the sins of the ENTIRE HUMAN RACE!
Later that night, as Jesus and all of the Disciples, except Judas, were Praying in the Garden of Gethsemane, Judas showed up with soldiers sent by the Priests and Rabbis to arrest Jesus.
Judas was leading them and walked up and kissed Jesus on the cheek identifying Him to the soldiers.
They arrested Him, took Him before the Priests and Rabbis, was given a mock trial and turned over to the Roman soldiers to be beaten, have a Crown of Thorns crushed down upon His Head and forced to carry His Own Cross through the streets of Jerusalem, out the gates to a place called Golgotha where they Nailed Jesus to the Cross He had been carrying and stood it up between two thieves.
Jesus COULD have called upon 72,000 Angels standing there with swords drawn ready to rescue Him, but He told them not to, that He had to Sacrifice His Life as Payment for the SINS of the entire Human Race.
After hanging on that Cross for 6 hours, as He was about to die, God the Father, supernaturally placed the SINS of the entire Human Race upon Him and then turned His Back upon His Only Begotten Son. Jesus saw His Father do this and shouted: “My God, My God, Why hast Thou forsaken Me?” And then dropped His Head, said “It is Finished” and died.
To make certain that He was dead, a Roman soldier forced a spear into His Side and Blood and Water spilled out.
Two followers of Jesus then went to the Roman authorites to obtain permission to remove Jesus’ Body from the Cross. They took His Body down, covered it with a long white sheet and carried it to a newly hewn grave where they laid His dead Body upon a pedestal and walked out.
Roman soldiers then rolled a large stone against the entrance, sealed it and stood guard.
On the morning of the third day, Father God, brought His Son Jesus BACK TO LIFE!
The stone was rolled away and Jesus made 10 appearances to 500 people after His Resurrection before ascending back into Heaven in front of His remaining Disciples commanding them to go to the entire world telling them about “My Death, Burial and Resurrection!”
So those are the FACTS concerning Jesus.
If, by Faith, you believe all of that to be true: That Jesus is the Son of God, that He died on that Cross for all of your sins, was Resurrected on the 3rd Day, we now call Easter and ascended back into Heaven to sit upon His Throne to the Right-Hand Side of God the Father and you can lift up a Prayer to God the Father Praying that you “Confess that you are a sinner and accept Jesus Christ as your personal Savior by Faith, Repent of your sins and commit to trying to follow Him for the rest of your life, in Jesus’ Name.”
If you say that Prayer and really mean it, you will be Spiritually “Born Again”, your name will be Permanently written in the Lamb’s Book of Life and your Place in Heaven will be reserved in Heaven for ETERNITY!
Now go and tell the World about Jesus, the ONLY way into Heaven!
By the way, I must tell you that if you do NOT accept Jesus as your Personal Savior before you die, your soul will be eternally separated from God and on Judgment Day will be thrown into the Eternal Lake of Fire (Rev 20:15) with Satan.
It is your choice.
God Bless you,

The Great Commission
His Great Commission, as He ascended back into Heaven while on the road to Bethany was:
GET OUT OF THE BOAT!
I’m sure most of you know of the Story in the Holy Bible about Jesus sending all 12 of His Disciples off in a boat in the Sea of Galilee to go to the other side while He sent 5,000 men and their families home after feeding them, Miraculously, with only 2 fish and 5 loaves of bread (Please Google: Matthew 14:13-21).
Jesus then went up into the nearby mountain to Pray.
As the Disciples sailed to about the half-way point across the sea, a tremendous storm came up threatening to swamp the boat with water and drown all of them!
Suddenly, they looked out to sea and saw someone WALKING TOWARDS THEM ON THE WATER!
It was Jesus!
Peter recognized Him and yelled out to Him: “Lord, if it is You, Command me to come to You!”
Jesus answered “Yes, Come!”
And Peter, FULL OF FAITH AND COURAGE, kept his eyes upon Jesus and STEPPED OUT OF THE BOAT and started walking on the water towards Jesus (Please Google: Matthew 14:29).
Peter didn’t even think about what the OTHER 11 Disciples thought about him taking this step of Faith!
HE JUST DID IT!
Peter actually walked a short ways ON THE WATER toward Jesus while looking steadfastly upon Jesus!
Unfortunately, when he took his eyes OFF of Jesus and started looking at the wind and the waves HE STARTED SINKING!
He cried out to Jesus to save him, which Jesus did, of course, then they both got into the boat and Jesus shouted out to the wind and the sea: “Peace, be still!”
And the wind and sea immediately calmed down!
And ALL 12 Disciples finally realized that Jesus truly MUST be the Son of God! (Google: Matthew 28:14-22)
EVEN THOUGH these same 12 men had already seen Jesus perform literally THOUSANDS of Miracles, beginning with changing 5 30-gallon pots of water into Fine Wine at the Wedding Feast in Cana to the one they had just observed where He fed 5,000 men AND their families with only 2 fish and 5 loaves of bread, Jesus KNEW that their hearts were STILL hardened toward whether He was REALLY the SON OF GOD!
THIS MIRACLE CONVINCED THEM!
My point today goes back to where PETER SAW JESUS WALKING ON THE WATER and asked Him to COMMAND him to walk upon the water TO HIM!
HE GOT OUT OF THE BOAT, keeping his eyes upon Jesus, WITHOUT WORRYING ABOUT WHAT THE OTHERS IN THE BOAT THOUGHT ABOUT THIS!
I Repeat: WITHOUT WORRYING ABOUT WHAT THE OTHERS IN THE BOAT THOUGHT ABOUT THIS!
My question is this: Are YOU afraid to “Step out of the Boat” and start TRULY WITNESSING FOR JESUS, telling the world about Him being the ONLY way to be Born-Again, like you were when you were really FIRST BORN AT YOUR BIRTH, when your Soul’s Name was already written in the Lamb’s Book of Life (Google Rev 20:15) when you were conceived in your precious Mother’s womb and REMOVED when you committed your first SIN after reaching the age of accountability and knew the difference between right and wrong!
At that moment, your name was BLOTTED out of the Book of Life!
2,000 years ago our Father God, in His Mercy and Grace, provided a way that ALL members (Souls) of the entire Human Race could get their names Re-Written into the Lamb’s Book of Life and be “Born-Again” when He sent His Only Begotten Son, Jesus Christ, to this earth as a little Baby, Born of the Virgin Mary, with a Primary Purpose of Shedding His Blood on a Cross at Calvary as Payment for ALL OF THE SINS OF THE ENTIRE HUMAN RACE, WHICH HE DID, IF they would only Believe that:
Jesus was and is the Son of God;
He died upon that Cross for their sins;
He was buried in a borrowed tomb and
Rose from the dead on the 3rd Day called Easter;
He made at least 10 appearances to over 500 people afterwards;
He Ascended back into Heaven 40-days later on a cloud in front of the Galileans;
He is now sitting on His Throne at the Right-Hand of His Father, our Sovereign King and Creator of the entire Universe and Beyond, as our: High Priest, Advocate, Lord and Savior!
The Father will one day send His Son BACK to earth, at the Rapture (1 Thessalonians 4:17), when the SOULS of ALL Born-Again Human Beings, whose names are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life, will take on their Heavenly Bodies and RISE to meet Him in the sky and enter Heaven to live FOREVER (Eternity with no end).
Those that are NOT Born-Again will be left behind and have to endure what will be called The Tribulation Period for seven (7) years (Revelation 7:14, and Matthew 24:21-29). Those who become Christians AFTER the Rapture will live through (or perish during) the Tribulation.
After the Tribulation, Christ will return to establish his Kingdom on earth for 1,000 years during which time, Satan will be bound.
At the END of Christ’s 1,000 year Reign, Satan will be released, will assemble a large contingent and try to attack Christ’s Earthly Kingdom! He will be destroyed by God, the Father, with fire and Satan will be thrown into the Lake of Fire for Eternity!
The next event will be the Great White Throne Judgment when ALL Souls that have NOT accepted Christ as their Personal Savior by Faith, Repented of their sins and given Christ Complete control of their lives prior to that Judgment Day, meaning that they DID NOT accept Christ’s Death on the Cross as Payment for all of their sins, will have to defend THEMSELVES for all of their sins before God: THERE WILL BE NO DEFENSE and ALL of them will be taken by Angels and thrown into the Lake of Fire with Satan and all of his demons FOR ETERNITY. (Revelation 20:15)
Those Souls that HAVE been Born-Again and have their names written in the Lamb’s Book of Life WILL NOT BE INCLUDED IN THAT JUDGMENT, they will have their Eternal Bodies and live for Eternity in Heaven.
